But it’s weird as the Xbox got upgrades, maybe because it was the easiest development platform. But yeah,forgive me; I do agree with you

I was getting to work when I replied, but what I meant was not just textures and audio got compressed; also, effects and lighting did as well. If you watch comparisons, both BFBB and the movie game on PS2 look closer to the Xbox counterpart than they do the GC.

@wideboy64 @shadowjxzdg @Chibben_Fren @ZayneDoesThings No, the GameCube’s mini disc format could only hold up to 1.46 gbs of storage, while the PS2 DVD format could hold 4.7gb that’s why RE4 came on 2 discs on GC and 1 on PS2. Audio and textures had to be shrunk on the GameCube because of this, along with effects.

So many effects got held back on the GameCube when they could’ve run them just fine. The GameCube had better framerates tho.
