With relative return of peace to the north east Nigeria, Girl Child Concerns have decided to establish a school within Maiduguri called the GCC Girls' Academy.
The visit follows the grant recently awarded to GCC to support adolescent girls’ education and empowerment — a step towards building a brighter future for young girls in Borno State.
We are delighted to announce that GCC Girls’ Academy has successfully completed NECO accreditation with an impressive score of 77.45%!
This achievement is a testament to the dedication, teamwork, and excellence of our management and staff.
Still on the International Day of the Girl Child!
We celebrated the inspiring moments from Girls Academy’s colorful event, where our students showcased their brilliance through cultural displays, quiz and debate competitions, and a captivating drama performance. 💫
In celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, the Borno State Commissioner of Education, Engr. Lawan Abba Wakil, donated 340 dignity kits, 30 sewing machines, and 6 cartons of 360 exercise books to support learning and skill development at GCC Girls' Academy
We are delighted to be part of this initiative that empowers our girls, builds their confidence, and ensures they can pursue their education without barriers.
In his uncompromising support for girl child education, Prof. Dugje Kadiri from the Faculty of Education, University of Maiduguri, generously donated exercise books and biros to GCC Girls' Academy today.
