Their voices made us laugh for years. Their legacies will keep doing it

On December 10, 2025, voice acting lost both Jim Ward and Jeff Garcia, two performers whose characters became part of completely different childhoods on the very same day.

Jim Ward was a true voice-acting chameleon. He gave The Fairly OddParents the larger-than-life Doug Dimmadome and Chet Ubetcha, became Captain Qwark in Ratchet & Clank, and voiced characters including XLR8 in Ben 10. His decades of animation and gaming work earned him a Daytime Emmy.

Jeff Garcia brought pure chaos and energy to Sheen Estevez in Jimmy Neutron, then carried that character into Planet Sheen. He also voiced Pip in Barnyard and Rinaldo in Happy Feet, leaving behind characters fans can recognize from a single line.

They left us on the same day, but the voices they gave our childhoods will keep speaking for generations. Rest in peace, Jim Ward and Jeff Garcia.
