Excl: #nffc to complain to PGMOL about James Tarkowskiโs off-the-ball shoulder barge on Dan Ndoye in #efc defeat. Forest bosses furious and adamant it was violent conduct in the 11th min. They want an explanation. Dyche said post match โIโm amazed big Tarky got away with that.โ
The last time most Tottenham fans saw Ange Postecoglou was on the evening of May 25, after the 4-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion which concluded Spursโ season.
But for one Tottenham supporter, it did not end there.
When lifelong fan Jeremy Conrad went on holiday to Greece the next day, he was surprised to see the Postecoglous staying at the same hotel.
On the last night of his trip, Conrad had a bottle of wine sent to their villa, along with a letter he wrote on behalf of all of his Tottenham-supporting friends.
Dear Ange
Apologies for the slightly impersonal nature of this note but I wanted to make sure I was able to adequately convey the appreciation, love and respect me and my Spurs supporting friends have for you and the work you have done and hopefully will continue to do at our club.
Wednesday 21st May will forever be etched into our collective psyche. Itโs made us smile wider, walk taller and laugh louder. You have orchestrated a generational shift in how we feel about our club and how others view us. Tropes have been put to bed and egg collectively smeared on naysayers' faces. Most importantly you have helped reinstate an immense feeling of pride and connection in the team that we love.
You often talk about โfamilyโ and the importance it plays in motivating and giving a sense of purpose. Well, from me and my Spurs family we would like to thank you from the bottom of our collective hearts. You never stopped believing, you fought hard to defend and elevate the reputation of our club and we are eternally grateful.
At the buffet you said to me that a bottle of wine wasnโt necessary but I really hope you accept and enjoy this for what it isโฆ A token of our appreciation.
Much love,
Jez (311), Matty, Steve, Mark, Beens, JB, Charlie, Jake, Jonny, Chris, Ollie, Toby, Guy + The COYS WhatsApp Group and The Where's Ed WhatsApp Group.
The next morning, Conrad was having breakfast when he felt a hand on his shoulder. It was Postecoglou, thanking him not just for the wine but for the letter, which meant so much to him. And he had a gift in return: a Tottenham home shirt. Postecoglou had signed it himself: โTo Jez. Ange. COYS!โ
A week after that exchange, and just 16 days after Bilbao, Postecoglou has been dismissed as Tottenham manager.

Might be Bournemouth but the beauty of David Moyes at least is that home games are worth looking forward to again.
No more anti-winning mentality.โ๐ป
