Can you see yourself at the #FiO26 podium? We can.
Join us in Rochester, New York, with your #research across fiber optics, quantum, #medicine, optical communications and more!
Submit your paper by 02 June: https://t.co/Q6xL27WusK
We hope to see your research in the spotlight!
📣 Experimental Investigators call from the Moore Foundation’s Emergent Phenomena in Quantum Systems Initiative. 6-year, fully unconstrained grants support researchers developing novel experimental tools to reveal emergent quantum behavior in materials. https://t.co/z2pQB9qdjU
A persistent normal-state third-harmonic generation (THG) signal extending up to 10x T𝑐 and a multipeak THG spectrum in the superconducting state reveal an unexpected interplay between disorder, electronic correlations, and superconducting inhomogeneity

@ZacconeAlessio Very interesting.. one question: do I gather correctly from your paper (Fig.5) that a larger width of the Kohn anomaly would lead to a stronger Tc enhancement? I may follow up privately. Thank you!
Glad to see that our prediction of phason-mediated #superconductivity in #quasicrystals is mentioned among the contributions that pave the way towards room-T superconductors in a roadmap paper in PNAS https://t.co/buO7ub9SMt Link to our original paper: https://t.co/ksBJvsjgW6
Where we observed a broad frequency component (~8 THz) in the photo-induced response of gated CVD graphene, which we interpret as a result of quantum critical transport of the zero-momentum mode
@Caitlin__Duffy Feel the same way, and I am transferring over to a social full of blue skies which seems to be better for now on the issues you described. Unfortunately it's still lean on academics and awesome physicist like you. Hopefully it will keep growing. Best of luck!!

A quick thread of charts showing how Trump’s economic agenda is going so far:
1) Trump has had the same impact on economic uncertainty as a global pandemic.
Along with my colleagues @Giulia_Pacc and Daniel McNally, we have put together a Nature Conference on quantum materials that will take place next March at Yale.

We have space for a number of contributed talks, so please apply!
We discovered that topological defects of the order parameter are responsible for the resistive switching in a paradigmatic Mott material. This opens new routes towards the control of the switching process in neuromorphic materials.

🚨🚨 Nature Physics is hiring (again) 🚨🚨
In addition to the condensed-matter physics role (deadline Aug 9th!), we are also hiring someone to take care of our optics and photonics brief.
Locations are US and Germany, deadline is Aug 23rd
