Weak enough noise can have a mild effect on the loss function, similarly to how small-angle initializations can avoid barren plateaus (BP).
Coincidences? Here we show how from a given noise map, one can derive a corresponding small angle initialization strategy (QResNet)!
What if noise-induced barren plateau was not the only effect that noise can have on the loss function in variational quantum computing?

“Absorption” of quantum information by the environment from the system is a thing, and can cause NIBP.
Here, we show that this same phenomenon can happen with respect to certain subspaces of the computational space too... and improve the variance!
