Enjoyed today’s literacy forum @ELAteach34 @Monroe2BOCES & can’t wait to learn more about Write on, NY! at next week’s session @GreeceOlympia @GreeceCentral https://t.co/HoplKcWsDm
I just assigned My Living History M.E.M.E. (Memory-Encapsulating Monument of my Experience) to my Gr. 8's. I'm excited to hear how they will curate their living history, and I hope that they will feel free and safe to express themselves. #remoteteaching https://t.co/mEMmzTBeF0
I will use this piece in my online classes next week. Thanks to Mike Switzer: https://t.co/7zE3VppKiB We will read, quick write, do flash revision, discuss author's craft.
We are in uncharted waters. Writing saves lives— both for the writer and the reader. If we don’t go big now thinking about how to write for real audiences and real purposes, then we’re doomed. Come on teachers. We can do this! Give kids real reasons to write.
Check this out! I'm facilitating the ELA 6-8 AND 9-12 sessions in which the director of the School Library System, Jim Belair, will also be joining us to share all of the wonderful online resources available to Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES districts!
