@dikesmarshfarm@angusgowthorpe Great to see. We’ve ringed some most years but this year the EA have blocked the box off to drill a couple of boreholes on the riverbank 🤯🤯
Absolutely delicious - some of the best crisps I have tasted in a long time!
Great to catch up with Karen Park, from Buston Crisps, part of the Buston Potatoes business in Parliament today, as part of a ‘Taste of the North’ event.
Farming in Northumberland the Park family grow potatoes, and now produce some of the most delicious, favour packed, mouthwatering crisps!
As a hardworking family farming business, they are proud to work with local farmshops, delis, butchers, cafes, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions in supplying their fantastic produce.
And it doesn’t stop with crisps! - they also produce cold pressed rapeseed oil. Lovingly grown, pressed and bottled by hand on the beautiful Northumberland Coast.
We have some fantastic family farming businesses across the country who go above and beyond.
We should be incredibly proud of them - but the government must to all they can to recognise their commitment, contribution and dedication to driving forward our rural economy.
So, if you haven’t tasted Buston Crisps yet - you must! 👉 https://t.co/qOQCS3Mih5

@dikesmarshfarm We’ve just started some roguing this week, generally pretty good apart from where we had v poor rape last year, its fairly clear where one big plant in the rape has created a patch in the wheat
@Ditch_83@KWSUKLtd@Syngenta Zyatt delivered yield and spec again this year, typical when you are going to drop something…….
Any palladium in your trial?
@dikesmarshfarm@HarkerAndrew@NaturalEngland@Ruralpay Quick 5 minute solutions don’t keep people in jobs for long though! We were in the same situation as you Richard, a river bank boundary (SSSI) touches a field boundary and flags up. Took a few weeks to come through but no issues since.
@cattlefinishers Where abouts are the pictures of the trees in the River? The trees on the banks of the Ouse havent been cut for 40 years. This morning you could phisically see the fast moving water in the channel and on the foreshore but the 6m of willows are basically stopping 25% of the flow
@RTKfarmer In a few years time they will have worked how big each store is. Just looked on the portal, our stores are numbered and they can’t even put them in numerical order on the list 🙈
