@GdanskIYP Christmas Eve when we were in Sopot. It was freezing! We spent New Year in Gdansk city centre and had a brilliant meal at the San Marco restaurant. I visit my in-laws a lot i'm Gdansk and I've falling in love with it.

@MarkJakeman @gdansk As @taliena points out, there’s some excellent spa and beauty facilities in the major hotels along the coast. There’s a beach sauna a short walk to the north of the pier. At the least a walk along the beach followed by a mulled wine is very therapeutic in itself.

Pawel Adamowicz’s body was brought from the European Solidarity Centre to St Mary’s Basilica this evening through the streets of Gdansk. He leaves the city in a far better condition than he found it but he leaves it much too soon. His funeral takes places at 12 on Saturday.

The funeral and burial of President Paweł Adamowicz will take place on Saturday at 12 in St. Mary's Basilica. Prior to that his coffin will stand in the Europejski Centrum Solidarnosci from tomorrow at 5pm until it is taken through the streets to St Mary’s at 5pm on Friday.
