A signature on a creator agreement does not close the copyright question. The author can revoke their declaration of intent or invoke their substantive creative interests long after the contract is signed. Both scenarios can be anticipated and addressed in the contract.

On this panel, we break down, among other things:

→ the hidden risks in agreements with authors and artists,
→ revocation of a declaration of intent and “substantive creative interests” in practice,
→ how to draft contracts that secure your IP rights for every contingency.
On stage:
Agnieszka Nowakowska
Tomasz Gadomski
Iga Oppeln-Bronikowska
Moderator: Łukasz Rodak

🎮 Panel: Authors, This Is Our IP! Watertight Contract Drafting
📅 22.10.2026, 11:00 to 12:00
📍 Poznań, Legal Summit × GIC

Your IP is the foundation of your business. Make it watertight from the very first contract.

Your game has a world, characters and fans. Does it also have the legal architecture to take it beyond the screen?

The Witcher started as a book. Today it is games, a series, comics and music. This kind of IP transfer across media does not happen by accident. It is built on contracts, licences and decisions made long before launch.

At Legal Summit during Game Industry Conference, we break this process down:

→ how to design a universe that scales from games to film, literature and music,
→ what your copyright agreements need to include so your IP can move onto new platforms,
→ how to work with the traditional cultural sector and institutions such as the Adam Mickiewicz Institute,
→ how to build reach abroad by learning from countries that turned pop culture into global soft power.

On stage:

Edwin Bendyk from Fundacja im. Stefana Batorego / „Polityka"
Piotr Grzymisławski from Go on Board
Tytus Cisek from Adam Mickiewicz Institute
Radosław Dubisz
Klaudia Kinastowska
Michał Skrzywanek from dotlaw
Artur Ganszyniec

🎬 Panel: From Screen to Screen. Building Universes and Creating Media Synergies

Wielkopolska is like a magnet to many people who want to live, learn, and work here permanently. The place has a great location, an illustrious past, hospitable and resourceful citizens – in short, it has a unique character and potential. Strong position among other regions is caused by our commitment to Wielkopolska’s work ethos and inclination to take on new challenges.

When Poland entered the European Union, Wielkopolska took hold of the opportunity by using funds from Brussels for development. As a result, the region has been developing rapidly.

The fact that Wielkopolska became a beautiful region fills us with pride. Today, it is one of the top regions in terms of attracting investment.
