@HugoCGuerra@guardian The deliberate use of language to disparage vfx is appalling. According to the article all practical sets are built with “care and attention”. The implication being that vfx is not. Utter nonsense regurgitated by someone who has zero knowledge of the craft.
@TheCriticalDri2 The Great Glass Elevator could arguably work. Given that it’s the sequel book penned by Roald Dahl and as far as I know hasn’t been adapted yet. That said the book is very different to the first in content / tone and much less popular.
"This is a fight for our very existence."
Gareth Edwards’ new picture #TheCreator arrives in cinemas September 29th. We are incredibly proud of this film here at ILM and we cannot wait for the world to see it.
@BurnettRM Well I for one am glad you stuck to your convictions. S3 of Picard is great and I would likely have not bothered if it wasn’t for your “shilling”.
@TerryMatalas Between those 2 I would say CIA as I wouldn’t consider them a private or even military endeavor. However a CIA that virtually no one has heard of, that the Federation would officially deny the existence of. They are independent from Starfleet but not the Federation.
@BurnettRM It has some good moments and Malcolm McDowell was a decent antagonist imo but your right it’s bad overall. It’s treatment of Kirk is appalling, the off screen deaths of Picards family. The baffling battle between the Enterprise and an obsolete Bird of Prey. Etc etc
@FPSDOC It was a wonderful soft reboot of the franchise. It really tapped into the power fantasy side of Doom and old school fps games. It and it’s sequel are imo the best fps games since the days of quake.
@ZullieTheWitch As someone who loves Fromsoft’s story telling, I’ll be honest and say I didn’t enjoy Elden Rings story telling on the whole. Perhaps it was Martin’s influence. Maybe it was the size of the game spreading my experience out for too long. BB & DS1 had me from the start ER not so.
@FPSDOC As a kid when it came out I much preferred Quake 2. However as an adult now I’m far more torn. I feel that Quake 1 has aged better and is more unique. Quake 2 has the better OST though, my mind has not changed there.
