Mean income of 58K for this age group with the US sky-high Gini of 0.48 means median around 45K and half of them makes less than that.
Yet I keep hearing "financially stable" hovering around impossible 60K
Elon Musk personally firing an engineer because his tweets aren’t getting enough views is exactly what money doesn’t buy happiness means. The guy has every material thing a person could want and is consumed with being liked. There’s more to life than endless wealth.
@full_send_buddy @Deez_Nutz666_ @Patricipacion@OwenJones84@josephattard02 Could it have been any other way? Exactly.
At least in here the labour movement is way more alive than it could be in fascist Russia, so ukrainian proletariat has a path for escape. That's as good as it can get in this war
@discordspies @PMeadhbh Don't forget that gender-age disparity is visible in all cohorts irl, but it's too hard to account for that on the back of the envelope.
@pewresearch it'd be nice to have less aggregated data or infographics that includes those all into account
@discordspies @PMeadhbh You would have to find an age disparity in all formal+unformal relationship to see the actual distribution instead of my napkin math, and of course it's not uniform. We likely see an uptick of 25-30 y.o. women casually dating 40+ men more than anything else here
@PMeadhbh @discordspies Polls show the vast majority of 20-28 y.o. men would like long-term relationships. I'd not indulge in wishful thinking without more descriptive data.
Most likely women increasingly trying to jump into generational wealth as wealth concentration rises. Again.
@PMeadhbh @discordspies And we don't see moreprecise age-pairing dynamic either. The aggregates are just not informative enough.
Most likely as concentration of wealth rises, so does the age difference in casual dating in men's favor, together with falling marriage rates
