@notlsa i think there are things that can make a level objectively hard to read like camera movements and flashes that obscure too much gp, but aside from those things i think being able to tell what's gp and what's deco is something u learn by watching & playing a lot of levels
@by_64x also if u make something, see it through longer than usual before deciding whether or not to scrap it because often i find that something i didn't like at first just starts looking good if i build more of it
@by_64x it's basically impossible to build the perfect version of ur idea on first try, so rather than spending 2 hours trying and failing to make one perfect block, just throw some bullshit down and correct them closer and closer to what u want
