From 18 September to 24 September, Maldivian flights from Addu Gan to Malé have been fully booked. Many people from different islands who urgently need to travel to Malé are now stuck in Addu Atoll. Is this how it should be? When politicians want to travel, they always seem to get a seat on Maldivian flights anytime, anywhere. But ordinary people who genuinely need to travel face full flights and no options. What kind of fairness is this?
Maldivian Airlines has the resources and flexibility to solve this issue. If an additional Airbus flight had been scheduled to land in Gan during this period the situation could have been avoided.
