You might want to review the crime stats from the past year. DC is the model on how an efficient law enforcement surge (thanks to the DOJ, NOT the DC mayor) can drastically reduce crime in a blue city. Memphis also. Also, this administration has reduced the amount of federal employees to 1970’s levels…which (to your point) makes it still way too bloated with bureaucratic blowhards.

It’s a moral failure that we seek to penalize those who create jobs, that we lambast those who are successful, those who are rewarded for that success. It’s a moral failure of those who seek to take from the successful (that’s theft) while ignoring the leftist politicians who create the system that allow others to STEAL hard earned taxpayer $$ through the creation of corrupt ‘welfare assistance’ programs. BILLIONS! Until you get on that high horse and shout about this theft your faux moral outrage against the Elon Musks of the world is simply the haughty ramblings of another self-righteous social justice warrior practicing performative virtue. Lived right around the corner from the original 5 Guys in Northern VA. It was a cheap date for a couple of newlyweds of modest means. Today, there is No Way we could’ve afforded the prices they charge now. Love the place, but while I’ve been blessed over the years with considerable income since those days, I refuse to pay the prices they charge.
