Zimbabwe has been included on a proposed American travel ban list.
The list, which has three categories, is being prepared for the White House by the State Department.
Zimbabwe must address concerns over its failure to share traveller information with the United States, improve security measures for issuing passports, and stop the alleged sale of citizenship to individuals from restricted countries.
Zimbabwe will have 60 days to comply to the proposed order once it has been signed off.
Failure to resolve these issues may lead to increased travel restrictions for Zimbabwean passport holders.
Zimbabwe would be considered for a partial suspension of U.S. visa issuance if its government does not make efforts to address deficiencies within 60 days.

Breaking down the Auditor General's report for the benefit of the ordinary citizens. Firstly we lay the ground work in the first 4 short video clips as an introduction. An understanding of what this is all about & how it affects us coupled with what can be done is key

Tineyi Mapepa, our cluster leader for Mwenezi District, has been sentenced to 20 months in prison on trumped-up charges.
The Mwenezi Magistrate Court falsely convicted him of public violence, alleging he organized a meeting last year in preparation for the August elections.
Despite his innocence, he is being persecuted for standing up for a better Zimbabwe.
The regime fears anyone who dares to stand up for what is right. His imprisonment is merely an intimidation tactic aimed at making Mwenezi a no-go zone for the opposition.
Our legal team will appeal the ruling at the High Court, as he is innocent.
We will continue fighting for a better Zimbabwe until real change comes to our country. #FreeTinayeMapepa

In a brazen case of electoral fraud and deceit, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) has blatantly facilitated daylight robbery of Mabvuku-Tafara voters of their preferred MP by imposing Zanu PF candidate and gold dealer Pedzai Scott Sakupwanya to replace main opposition CCC's popular legislator Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi.
Kufahakutizwi was popularly elected an MP in the August general elections defeating Sakupwanya, but was removed through recalls coordinated by controversial activist Sengezo Tshabangu who is supported by the ruling party, state security agents, embittered political opportunists, the executive, parliament and the judiciary.
The Mabvuku-Tafara issue has deceit and blood spattered all over it.
After Kufahakutizwi had been recalled, the inconsistent and incoherent Tshabangu said it had been done my mistake.
So the CCC candidate went to court to confirm his eligibility in today's by-elections, but the same Tshabangu opposed his move.
Meanwhile, Zec jumped in and said Kufahakutizwi had also been disqualified by the High Court.
Through that web of deceit and gaslighting the public, Zec declared Sakupwanya duly elected unopposed - brazen fraud.
In the run-up to the by-elections, Kufahakutizwi's campaign pillar Pastor Tapfumaneyi Masaya was abducted and killed by brutes connected to the state, Zanu PF and Sakupwanya.
Eventually, Sakupwanya is now MP through brazen fraud and blood-spilling typical of Zanu PF throughout its history.
Today @daddyhope made a bold call that “young #Zimbabweans should leave #Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 for their personal development”.
This sounds like a good idea, but it’s a fallacy. It might seem good, but it’s self defeating, in the long run.
I will use an economic term to debunk the fallacy that leaving Zimbabwe is good for young Zimbabweans. I would want to argue that the leaving of young Zimbabweans is only good for the corrupt elites and extremely dangerous for Zimbabwe’s development.
The economic term I would want to use is : FALLACY OF COMPOSITION.
The “fallacy of composition” in economics arises when individuals believe that certain traits in a small section of the economy can be used to predict the entire macroeconomy. It’s important to understand that what is best for a single part of the economy is not always the best for the whole economy.
The fallacy occurs when one makes the mistake of attributing to a group (or a whole) some characteristic that is true only of its individual members (or its parts), and then makes inferences based on that mistake.
An example of “fallacy of comparison”: If one person stands up in a stadium or concert, that person can actually see better. However, it will be a fallacy to directly infer that if everyone stands up, everyone can see better.
I would want to argue that by encouraging young Zimbabweans to leave, we are making Zimbabwe and its citizens worse off, in the long run. It’s like encouraging a young farmer to leave his crop at the mercy of baboons and then rely on working in other peoples’ fields for survival and upkeep.
So who will RECLAIM and REBUILD our country, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼?
Who will deliver FREEDOM (DEMOCRACY) and DEVELOPMENT (PROSPERITY) to our children and grandchildren?
Who will FIGHT for the Zimbabwe that works for everyone?
Are we now encouraging each other to surrender our country to the corrupt elites, Chinese and the Gold Mafia?
To what end?
