people in Portland be like "sorry I can't come out tonight, I gotta go see my eleven year old son's slowcore band play." I mean I imagine that's what they say. I don't know I don't really travel
This afternoon in Marble Hill, a New Yorker was shot by an ICE agent in a residential neighborhood. Early reports indicate agents surrounded him and a 5-year-old child in his car before firing multiple rounds. We believe the child was physically unharmed.
This is an unconscionable and incredibly serious situation. I have called the President; when we speak I will demand that he ends all ICE enforcement actions in our city. I will not stand by while ICE agents terrorize our communities.
Our thoughts are with the injured New Yorker and his family tonight. We are praying for his recovery.
Get ICE out of our neighborhoods. Get ICE out of our hospitals. Get ICE off our streets. Get ICE away from our children.
Abolish ICE.
Yeah, I've waited 8 episodes for satisfying character development. This final scene made me drop my jaw not because it looked great, but because it *felt* great seeing John finally becoming Green Lantern after everything he's been through. *Character over spectacle*
The five-star moment for me. You spend the whole movie thinking "V-Max" is gonna be revealed to be a weapon or substance that'll set up a future plotline, and then...it's a half-taped "Vent-Max" sign. The last thing Jean's sister saw while dying. Heartbreaking. Brilliantly done.
Fully understand why people would hate this but man. This is the Lindelof shit I’ve been needing since episode one. I really, really love it when finales are all about the characters closure instead of a bombastic climax. Kyle Chandler we will miss you forever.
back when i was broke i had people asking me why i don’t get a roommate. this shit is why. imagine being told ur SO can’t come over on the weekends unless they pay a share of rent that’s fucking insane lmao
