It took me 4 grueling hours and a lot of hassle to communicate to finally get a fir lodged for the sim
When i asked for the phone they just laughed at my phone and told there's no hope.

My watch was still active until yesterday, and it has an IMEI number as well.

Do i go the police to lodge a complaint? Will the police help?
I'm not a local. In 2019 in a similar incident I lost my phone and the police didn't even want to lodge a FIR for the phone or for the sim.

Initially it was moving rapidly which made me think that this might have been picked up by one of the delivery boys but from last night around 8pm I see it stagnant at one place.
The first thing I did when I realized it's lost was to block my financials, which may be accessed.
