Without getting too deep into the details, I need a couple of charities that:
* Advocate for research of and enrichment of autistic people
Or
* Advocate for the treatment of depression and bi-polar disorder, with emphasis on suicide prevention
So- wanted to talk about something that a friend is struggling with right now. Recovery! No, not the injury kind. The "damn, these hangovers fucking suck" kind. It's something I've personally struggled with since my Husband passed away (and a little bit prior due to things).
To be clear - I’m not trying to escape the dumb ass shit I’ve done over the years. I’m not creating a new identity. I’ve just.. I dunno. I guess came to terms that I’ve done some incredibly stupid shit over the years. Largely in a fuck awful state of mind.
Anyways. I’m not really using this account anymore beyond the occasional peeking in. I’ve found a lot more joy in pursuing my adventures in VR and re-embracing metaverse (not the crypto kind) over at @GeenzVR - it’s helped me out a lot with my own issues.
So I got a formal diagnosis for PTSD. I figured I’ve had it for years now, but the last five years especially have weighed on me, and uh…. Wow. I didn’t know the symptoms went so deep.
To be 100% clear here about this by the way.
None of your money is going into NCR.
None of it is going into crypto.
(Sadly) none of it is going into the platform’s running costs. At least not yet.
You are supporting the person who started it all though. Accept no substitutes.
Like what is this even- you send me the wrong product, but I have to pay to send that back to you guys. Mind giving me a good reason to not shit on you guys and making some entertaining footage of just burning through an unopened box with some thermite? @NeweggService
Hey @Newegg - mind explaining to me why I need to pay for your fuckup here? I ordered a specific product. I did not receive said specific product. But I have to pay to send the wrong order back to you. Mind helping me out with parsing this one?
Chances are we would need a ton of smoke test worlds - but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Also encourages community involvement I think to make Neos safer once we inevitably drop custom shader support.
Been thinking a lot about runtime shader gen for Neos as of late. Given we have a asset variant generator in the cloud, would it make sense to basically “backtest” shaders as variants are generated to better protect against crashers and the like?
Like, think having a few test systems connected to the system to backtest. Largely with common hardware for different platforms. Run test -> see if we crash -> report results after a set number of runs of varying periods.
