@SpaceBasedFox What are the odds that both satellites traveling with the same relative speed in the same direction? Otherwise it requires an insane short shutter speed to get a super fast flying object sharp in the photo. Or am I entirely wrong here?
What an era was this... We moved on, but hey, many, many warm memories with Canu!

Goodbye.
Do not expect another release. This is it, folks. The sequencing technology has moved on and Canu is all but obsolete now.
Just tried the dorado v0.7.0 version, the basecalling quality gets a very nice jump! Not a minor increase, this is huge! (mode Q20 -> Q23) Any timeline prediction for minknow integration?

@nanopore@iiSeymour
Huge set of software releases for @nanopore#DataAfterDark starting with dorado v0.7.0.
More accurate v5 simplex models for DNA, RNA and duplex, 4mC calling, q40 read correction, Poly(A) tail est for plasmids and transcripts with interrupted tails, plus more π€― #nanoporeconf

Shiny apples they have here! At Hudson River Biotechnology we are using ONT sequencing to detect our CRISPR based gene edits in many different crops. What about a better shelf life? Nanopore seq brings us further everyday! @HudsonRiverBio1#nanoporeconf https://t.co/q9jNWQ4teb
Now, @nanopore only approaches are producing the best t2t automated assemblies ever produced with 30 contigs and 5 scaffolds! π€―π€―π€―π€― #nanoporeconf
@drimran_farooq@PhDVoice@PhD_Genie Don't agree with RIP, but certainly it says something on reviewing/authors. Not a problem when people use AI, but sloppy to keep something like this in the publication.
@nanopore We have some indication this had to to with running the flongle at too low temperatures.. ~33 degrees instead of the target ~40 degrees. (not confirmed bij ONT yet) We had put on a fan for summer temperatures, left it on in winter assuming it cannot do any harm.
Anyone ever seen this before? our ~ 1kb amplicon library gives stunning long, and aborted by voltage reversal, reads: Last week 1/5 flongles gave this pattern with the same library, today 2/2 flongles with a new library have similar patterns: Too high loading maybe?
