BANCA ON DOGUE 🦴
Philippine forest dog and rescue Banca stars in the first cover of Dogue by Vogue Philippines.
Banca was an ‘asong gubat’ in Cavinti, Laguna and known for visiting guests at a local cabin, before photographer Shaira Luna rescued her in July after finding her with a chain embedded in her neck.
Now happily living in Luna’s 10-dog household, Banca is fully-healed and affectionate, giving “visitors full body hugs, as she understands that she is finally, fully at home.”

Tonight, the first full moon of autumn rises. September’s full moon is the Harvest Moon, named because it falls closest to the autumn equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.
For generations, its light helped farmers harvest after sunset.
