Imagine being a bright-eyed J-School grad eager to launch your reporting career, and the editor of Cleveland's metro daily puts you on blast for wanting to be a journalist instead of an AI content farmer. https://t.co/sUbhYi9LwO

Everyone in LA during the Bad Bunny half-time show:

Oh, be careful, Merriam-Webster, lest we suffer vertigo from the dizzying heights of our lexical ground.

Last night: Halloween in Weho
Tonight: Watching the Dodgers win the World Series in a sports bar in Silverlake.

I love LA.

Cheers to @TristanChan and what he built in @PorchDrinkingCO. A joyful celebration of craft beer, its people, and its places. https://t.co/A4do4YcMz7

According to a new report detailing "severe shortages" in local news, the number of journalists working in the US has dropped by more than 75% since the start of the century — from 40 journalists for every 100,000 residents to just 8.2 journalists now. https://t.co/iyJDOIdHZs

Press release - Fandom Sells Giant Bomb to Independent Creators

[chris person @Papapishu]

There's no games media any more, it's basically just IGN and weird independent survivors trying to do stuff like us.

Fucking hell. The launch of Polygon was extremely formative to me, and to see it gutted like this is heartbreaking. Best of luck to all impacted. Games deserve serious press.

@patrickklepek Recently got the Wirecutter-recommend Travelpro Platinum Elite soft sided spinner 21 (and the 25 for checking). So far the carry-on has been perfect for weeklong getaways to Mexico and New Orleans.

The whole Studio Ghibli AI trend honestly gives me second-hand embarrassment knowing how hard Hayao Miyazaki has fought to retain the identity of his films and how many of you are this willing to make a farce out of decades of artistry because you don’t actually value it

A non-profit that organizes veterans and young adults to do wildfire mitigation and trail upkeep in Colorado is facing a potential $46,000 shortfall due to federal funding uncertainty. We're going to cover that gap. I'll match the next 50 donations of $5: https://t.co/gSZtqwzX1K

Why can’t it be like this today…

🎉 Congrats to the production workers at #Disney for ratifying their 1st union contract! After 2 years of perseverance, they’ve shown the power of unity. Let’s celebrate this big win for our production colleagues! 👏✨ #UnionStrong #Animation #ProductionStrong @IATSE @AFLCIO

That was quite the jolt. Please tell me someone has a clip at an Oscar party with everyone’s reactions.
