A primary way to start is to form an actual community and not a streamer echo chamber.
Some of the loudest voices in games are often streamers and their following. They can be heard more than most, they often are given access normal players aren’t, and most commonly they will trash a game with no thought prior to doing it.
Before things instantly shot down, look at CoD. MW2 they tried to use their gunplay system and cater it to game modes with more stakes (DMZ) and tried to balance out Warzone and other things to let the gunplay shine over all.
The sales were great, but the streaming community made a daily shit fest out of it. Essentially they wanted a game where you could outrun bullets, they could get clips, and nothing changed.
Bring on MW3. Essentially a reversion from where the game was going back to old maps and states. But the streaming community shut up because they got their precious slide cancel back.
Why does this matter? Compare one month of store/battle pass activity from this time last year to the current state. Activision clearly said, ok, the loud voices bitched, we satisfied them, let’s just recycle shit and double our store bundles. And it’s working.
There needs to be more of a voice to people who play the game than people who watch it. It will make the market far less volatile
