There is no ‘teacher shortage’. There are thousands of qualified experiences teachers who are no longer teaching. There’s a shortage of respect and proper compensation for teachers allowing them to actually teach.
The President has not been silenced. He has a press room right in his house. He’s more than welcome to step up to the podium, speak and even take some questions.
He is not a victim
I’m hearing from many parents about how teachers are performing heroically in difficult and scary times to provide comfort, humor, empathy, and instruction. Teachers are always superheroes. Now they seem to have even another gear of awesomeness. They are the best of #WhatUnitesUs
To my fellow AP Stats teachers: how are you dealing with not being able to do all of the cool activities because of distance learning. I want to make stats interesting, but it's hard with remote learning. Help!
I wonder if the same people who worry if teachers are working their full hours, are also worried when they work 60 or 70 hours or more a week? Teachers, don't try to live up to unrealistic expectations, take care of yourself, and then do your best!
