Valko decided to ask MC to go camping.
However, he’s been a bit… tense.

Valko’s tension seemed to dissipate during the day, but as they both fell silent again, MC can see his eyes bolted to the ground.
Something was bothering him.

“Valko, are you okay?”

Valko looked up at MC, snapping out of his daydream.

“Ah, yes.”

A few minutes passed by in silence until Valko spoke up again.

“Do you remember the story that I told you about how a wolf has only one mate for their entire life?”
“Yes, I thought it was very romantic.”
“Yeah.. um.. so…”

MC looked at Valko, puzzled.
She never saw him this hesitant.
He’s usually very bold and confident so she can’t help but wonder what’s wrong with him.
Then it hit her.

“Did you… find your mate? Are you breaking up with me?”
“Yes! Wait, No! Ah… hold on that’s two different questions!”
Valko answered flustered.

Valko face palmed himself and sighed.
He then looked up at MC and asked her.
“Can you please close your eyes for me?”

MC who is still confused closed her eyes as requested.

She can hear Valko moving around but unsure what he is doing.

“Can i open my eyes now?”
“Give me a few more seconds!”

She can then feel Valko walk past her and she heard him whisper from behind.

“Now open your eyes.”

When MC opened her eyes, she was greeted by the sight of metal wires intertwined between two tree trunks with fairy lights around it, spelling out:

“Will you marry me?”

The sound of Valko’s voice rang out from behind her.

MC read the intricate work he did and spun around to see him down on one knee, with a ring on his hand.

“I know it’s only been a few months, but I have waited for you my entire life.
Before i met you, i thought having a mate was just a myth.
The idea of being able to love one person for an entire lifetime felt like something out of a fairy tale.
Then I met you.
The way i got beaten up by you on our first meeting, it was embarrassing for me but I never felt so much awe for someone before.
Through the time we spent together, I came to realized that it is possible to love only one person for a lifetime, and for me, that person is you.

When i think of the future, the only image that comes up is you.
I want to go through life with you, grow old with you and fill every single second of my life with the memories built together with you.

So MC, would you give me the honor of being your husband?”

MC’s vision blurred as tears of happiness came to her eyes.

“Yes, Valko. A million times, yes.”

Valko never smiled so widely.

He got up, slid the ring on MC’s finger then proceed to kiss her and spun her around out of happiness.

With that, marks the start of their happily ever after.

The hunter stood at the edge of Linkon’s city gates.

She looked at the glamorous city, the place she called home for the past few years.
The city she had fought to protect, filled with thousands of precious memories.
Yet now, her beloved city has turned their back on her.

She was no longer seen, heard, or respected.
Rather, she became the pawn of the source of power in the city.
So finally, she decided to cut the strings attached to her, holding her back.

It was painful, heart breaking and gut wrenching, yet this time, she knows that she has to put herself first.

“Are you sure with your decision? You don’t have to leave just because of me.”

The hunter looked at Valko’s sad expression.

She cupped his face in her hand, smiling at him.

“Yes, I am sure. The decision to leave was not just because of you, Valko.
This time, it is because I have to put myself first.”

Valko looked back at Linkon city.
The place where he hid all this time, the place he was supposed to call home.

“I will miss the city, i still hope that one day i can come back.”

The hunter looked at the sparkling city again.

“Me too, Valko. I hope one day I can come back with you.”

“Then for now, shall we leave together?”

Valko extended his hand to the hunter.

The hunter smiled and took Valko’s hand.

She looked at the city one last time, etching the scenery into her mind.

“Goodbye, Linkon City. Till we meet again.”

I won’t lie this feels weirdly freeing. The worst has happened - a multi without Valko. There isn’t much else that would hurt more than this.

There is nothing they can do that will hurt anymore. So in that sense - it is freeing. I can stay and keep being on their ass without this possibility looming over me now.

And Valko will be back. The revenue will force their hand if nothing else. And I am way too stubborn to leave now, after 3 months of this. Will see it through the end.

With Valko or with EOS.

Don’t completely rule out the possibility that there could be people among the supporters working for competing companies and trying to steer the boycott in a different direction.

this has gone too far. It has turned from demanding change into trying to destroy the game, and unfortunately, some of you are engaging with it without thinking about the consequences.

Let’s be clear and not let companies that have an interest in fighting the game use us like chess pieces just to destroy the company.

There’s a big difference between putting pressure on a company and demanding change, and turning it into a war with the goal of destroying it. Sometimes I honestly feel like some of you actually want to take it that far, and I simply don’t agree with that.

And I’ll say this openly: I don’t hate the game, and I don’t want to see it destroyed. I want to demand change, put pressure on the company, and make my voice heard. Demanding change is one thing. Trying to destroy the game is something completely different.

Whether this teaser is for a new multi or for Nightglow, my stance remains the same.

Nothing has changed between 6/30 and now. Valko is still cancelled. PPG is still a live-service game that will try to move on. Bc I don’t like their decisions, I’ll keep boycotting & advocating for Valko until I get what I want.

I still think they’ll bring Valko back. I don’t think a new multi w/o him is a make or break (tho I understand why it feels that way). Nothing is forever in the business world when there’s money to be made.

I think all of the circumstantial evidence we’ve been collecting until now still holds true. I think the only thing a majority of ppl (myself included) miscalculated was the timing.

Industry ppl have been saying this is a situation that will take at best 4-6 months to reverse. We’re halfway through the 3rd month now, so realistically it would’ve been optimistic to bring him back before now.

I do believe they need a definitive record that all in-game content w/o Valko is a proven failure to bring him back, which includes a new multi. A failed Q3 is a quantitative, irrefutable stain on their financial record that will lead to change.

Tho it may seem like catering to CDG’s until he’s back, PPG kind of have to in order to expose their lack of financial power. If they give the Valko antis everything they want (new MS update for Caleb & Sylus, new Raf myth, highly anticipated Sylus reruns, new spicy multi) & it all fails to stabilize revenue near what it was, then they can say ‘we tried catering to you for months & lost players, money, & reputation, so we’ll no longer be listening to you from now on’.

PPG sees the writing on the wall. Caleb’s MS update made that clear. They didn’t retcon or rework Valko, they skipped his story & said we’ll come back to it later. They wrote the story abt the crew that prioritized survival & stability of 5 & sacrificed the 6th, which ultimately lead to the death of the 5. That wasn’t coincidence. That was intentional.

PPG knows that without Valko, the game will die. However, because of the tactics used against them in the business war, they can’t just come out & say that. Everything they’ve done/are doing I believe are a part of the process of bringing him back. The new legal acct also proves this to me.

Considering the set up in Caleb’s story implies MC will go to the N109 Zone next, I’m assuming their plan is to release Valko after Sylus’ MS update. Either it’ll be before the Nov multi or the Anni multi.

More players will quit the longer they wait & appear to cater to CDG’s. PPG knows this. I think it’s a risk they’ve calculated & accepted: they’ll sacrifice the full amt of players that would’ve come back sooner for Valko in order to do a full rectification + proper roll out.

They can’t give anyone an inch of leverage to use against them if they want to prevent future controversy. That means doing things properly (ie. slowly), at the expense of short term revenue & long term players.

PPG said in the cancellation letter they felt they didn’t give ppl waiting for Valko the debut we deserved. Dropping Valko rn would mean a short debut + multi to fit before Xav’s bday, which is not doing things properly imo.

For now, we’re in a wait & see period. If you’re crashing out over a possible multi, that’s totally valid. Rage against PPG as much as you want (they certainly deserve it). I don’t blame anyone for quitting the game/boycott bc of it. PPG suck ass. They have phenomenal creative teams they don’t deserve.

But it’s bc of their work that I’ll still be here. Caleb’s MS was amazing. I’m that much more invested in reading Valko’s story now.

I may pop in & out more to take breaks away from the fandom for my own mental health, but my stance won’t change. PPG made a choice. I disagree with that choice. So I’ll keep boycotting & fighting for Valko until he’s in the cafe as a LI, regardless of what they throw at me.
