Sidney Crosby on battling back for a point tonight
"I think there [are] still areas we feel like we need to get better with... We battled hard, and like I said, Sergei [Murashov] gave us a chance."
Crosby on Murashov's performance: “He was awesome. Just really steady and made some big saves for us. There were some extended shifts there where they controlled a lot of the play. I thought that he allowed ourselves to get organized a bit.”
No matter how this game ends in OT, this has been a statement game from Sergei Murashov, the rookie who doesn't much look like a rookie between the pipes.
What a performance through regulation. 40 saves on 42 Columbus shots.
Definitely something to build on.
Sergei Murashov has been absolutely dialed in tonight, especially during the second period. The 22-year-old netminder has already stopped 28 of 30 shots through 40 minutes and is the reason the Penguins are within one goal of tying the game.
Macklin Celebrini says it was difficult to miss two #SJSharks games this week, but the trainers told him it wouldn't be smart.
He says there's a chance he's back tomorrow afternoon when they host Edmonton.
#SJSharks Celebrini on what happened in Dallas:
“I was optimistic going into warmups, kind of tested it out. I mean if I wasn't going to be at my best or close to my best, then there was no point to play.”
