The signs were everywhere. It wasn’t just @NikitaBier. For months, the user experience on CT has been suffocating. From @beeple mocking the spam to @nic_carter declaring CT is "dead" due to noise, the ecosystem was suffering from severe "Attention Pollution".
For a long time, the meta was "Quantity > Quality". Users spammed tickers to farm points. Projects paid for metrics that looked good on paper but meant nothing for actual retention. We created an economy of noise, where real signals got drowned out by incentivized "yapping."
But the noise bubble just popped.
So, what happens now?
The budget ($100M+ was distributed by InfoFi alone) has to go somewhere. The market is correcting from Artificial Engagement -> Authentic Contribution. Projects no longer want bot-like replies. They want verifiable users, genuine advocates, and deep education.
The immediate aftermath is a pivot to elitism. Leading InfoFi platforms are already transitioning back to the "Traditional Agency" model, hand-picking KOLs and closing the doors on permissionless participation.
The gap? This leaves 99% of genuine users and rising creators with zero access to opportunities.
This is where the market fractured:
Option A (Old InfoFi): Open to everyone, but drowned in Bot Spam. ❌ (DEAD)
Option B (Agency Model): High quality, but exclusive to the top 1%. ❌ (LIMITED)
We need Option C: Verified Contribution.
