Town halls across London are lit orange tonight in remembrance, love and solidarity with Sarah Everard and all the women and girls killed on our streets or in their homes.
Orange is the colour of the UN campaign for ending violence against women. #EndVAWGLondon
This week is so unrelentingly bleak. I can’t stop thinking about Sarah Everard & all the women who are sharing their stories of harassment, assault and violence. We ALL have these stories and it’s so horribly normalised. Heartbreaking.
Amidst the horrific stories shared of the preventative measures that women take to avoid feeling unsafe there seems to be a huge elephant in the room.
Namely, what is wrong with how we are raising boys and young men that women don’t feel safe around them? 1/
