Two pairs of pear cuts, and two very different kinds of color.
The Imperial topazes bring a warm, glowing orange. The tanzanites are a rich blue with flashes of violet. We put them side by side and loved how each pair made the other stand out.

Blue sapphire, Mogok ruby, pink ruby, and Namya spinel — legendary names we’ve known for years. But look closely, and no two stones tell quite the same story.
Which one caught your eye?
#BlueSapphire#MogokRuby#PinkRuby#NamyaSpinel#MyanmarGemstones
Mogok ruby is famous for its red, which can be intensified by fluorescence.
Pink ruby sits near a fascinating boundary: where does ruby end and pink sapphire begin? Color saturation makes the difference.
Namya spinel comes from a region known for vivid pink and red spinels.
Friday plans: stop scrolling, look at some stones, say “aaaah” and repeat. 😄💎
Jewelers and designers, there’s plenty more to see on @gemsbynomads_b2b — we share new stones with prices and details every day.

FOUR FANCY CUT AQUAMARINES. FOUR REASONS TO LOOK CLOSER.
None of these stones has a standard shape. We cut each one to give its color, facets, and outline a character of its own.
Which shape is your favorite?

We put these three together because each one makes us stop for a different reason.
The rose tourmaline has a deep pink color.
The mandarin garnet is all about that vivid orange.
And the blue zircon? Watch the way it catches the light. See each one up close.
Mikola has found a new way to share two things he loves: poetry and gemstones. This time, a beautiful blue zircon inspired him to read Emily Dickinson for you. 💙📖
We’re enjoying this new side of his stone presentations. What do you think?

When we look at tourmaline rough, we think about more than the shape of the future stone.
The tourmalines in this post come from Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, and Nigeria. We put them together because we never tire of seeing how different stones from the same gem family can be.
Three greens that could almost be related. But one is a garnet, one is a chrysoberyl, and one is a tourmaline.
We love putting stones like these next to each other. The color brings them together; a closer look shows how different they really are.

Mikola has shown us his coffee-and-gemstone moments a few times, but apparently coffee wasn’t enough to win you over. So this time, he brought poetry too. ☕📖
Please give this reel some love—or he might retire from making them. 😄

We keep picking up this lagoon tourmaline to look at the color again. The green feels deep at first, then catches a little blue as the light moves across it.
It’s one of those stones we enjoy seeing from more than one angle.

No polish, no perfect edges—and already so much color.
We love looking through this rhodolite garnet rough and seeing how different each piece is. Now we’re excited to see what they’ll look like once they’re cut.

We pulled out three stones today and couldn’t put any of them back.
Mandarin garnet for that bright orange, aquamarine for its intense blue, and Vietnamese lilac spinel for a pink-purple shade that changes the mood of the whole tray.
Today Maria brought out the most vibrant garnet colors: vivid orange Mandarin Garnets from Nigeria and fresh green Merelani Mint Garnets from Tanzania. 💚🧡
Same gem family, two wonderfully different shades.
What type of garnet is your favorite? Tell us in the comments.
𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗦. 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗦.
We let each pair lead its own sketch: small and structured, long and fluid, clean and geometric, playful hearts, and two colors sharing one silhouette.

Most blue topaz on the market has had some help getting its color. This blue hasn’t.
Mykola is showing a few untreated bicolor topazes from the Volodarsk-Volynskii deposit in Ukraine.
Take a closer look as he turns them in the light.

A little autumn palette for the jewelry sketchbook. 🍂
Golden and olive tones would feel right at home in yellow gold. A deep berry stone could carry a design on its own. And a touch of blue-green? Just enough contrast to make the whole palette come alive.

Yesterday’s two pinks, revealed. 💗
The deeper, lilac-leaning stone is spinel. The lighter, luminous pink is topaz. Side by side, their colors feel remarkably close—but these are two entirely different minerals.
two distinct characters, each beautiful in its own way.
Two pinks. Two different gemstones. 💗
Their shades are close, but they’re not the same material. What do you think they are? Give us your best guess — we’ll show each stone up close and reveal the answer tomorrow.
