Disability pension is what is being talked about. You have set it aside in the first sentence. Hence your post is irrelevant.
But wonder why you set it aside? You have nothing to counter it, I guess!

Setting aside the disability pension issue for a moment, Mr. Raghav Chadha should know that the vast majority of our Jawans do not even pay income tax. Thanks to the Modi government significantly increasing the income tax exemption limit, their regular salaries are completely tax-free. Furthermore, the medical care and facilities provided to our soldiers are now vastly superior under the Modi government.
PM Modi even celebrates Diwali with them.

The questions raised were simple and direct. The MoS Finance’s answer is a classic case of misdirection and beating about the bush. It does not address the main issue of why a distinction has been introduced between military personnel invalided and those who serve out their term.
2/3 What the answer did not say- exemption existed for superannuated veterans also.( An attempt was made to deny exemption vide CBDT Circular in 2019 on which Hon SC has ruled Status Quo to be maintained)

1/3 What the answer said : The exemption in respect of disability pension received by members of the armed forces who are invalided out of service on account of a disability or aggravated by military service has existed since the framework under the Income-tax Act,
Honourable Member of Parliament, When you address the august house on this issue on 16 Mar you will be conveying the collective anguish of countrymen cutting across party lines on the ill concieved proposal of taxing disability compensation of soldiers disabled in the line of duty and who still continued to serve. #KeepDisabilityPensionTaxFree has more than 2 Crore impressions on X and a petition on https://t.co/ZyttQ2hQ3u has been endorsed by more than 50000. All eyes are on the house to reverse this proposal which dishonours sacrifices of soldiers without any tangible accrual to the exchequer.
