@StFranc30077093@NickLee51 I just believe that everyone should know and not just one man. Also with the prevalence of sports betting it’s just one more area of weakness that can potentially be exploited.
@StFranc30077093@NickLee51 Living in North America we get to see the good and bad of both systems. It goes both ways. There are way too many stoppages in American sport. Also a stopped clock where everyone knows when a game ends and not just one man is far more just.
@StFranc30077093@NickLee51 You’re just slow to make obvious changes. Replay review has been around in North America for 40 years. Finally VAR was implemented decades after it should have been.
@StFranc30077093@NickLee51 It allows for the potential for manipulation. It is completely unnecessary as having a stopped clock is relatively easy. Eliminating all of the ridiculous time wasting by the players in and of itself is worth the change to a stopped clock
@19sean65@NickLee51 Tell Japan, Korea, Sweden, Russia, Finland, Greece, China that they are not global sports. The difference is that North American sports like to be black and white where European based sports live in the grey areas.
@StFranc30077093@NickLee51 Allowing for manipulation could be exciting but you cannot argue that it is more just. North America isn’t perfect but at least we try to get it right. Replay reviews have been around our leagues for 40 years and are finally being accepted in soccer. Stop the clock ⏰
@Bossuk3@NickLee51 Nightmare! Minor hockey manages to do it very easily. It would be harder but we’re not spotty the atom here. Stop the clock, end the theatrics and get into the 20th century.
@VERBAL_CHANCLA@KerryBurgess It’s a ridiculous system. Pay the proper wage and send be the proper bill. If your company doesn’t exist because of this it never deserved to exist. Trust me, water finds its level and restaurants will survive in a tip free environment. They do so everywhere else
@Lord_Sotheary@vlrstyle1@KerryBurgess Foreigners cannot demand change. They can, however, refuse to play along with the insanity. It’s sucks servers lose out but it’s up to Americans to fix America.
@jonatmurp@ndneely@NickLee51 The do it just fine with time keepers in minor hockey being paid $20 / game. Also in youth soccer can still have the ref in charge if getting a portable clock to a field is too hard. These aren’t insurmountable obstacles
@3TrolledSloth@ndneely@NickLee51 Not that at all. Just complaining that in 2026 there shouldn’t exist a situation where the only person on the planet who knows exactly when a game ends is the ref. We had the technology to change that 100 years ago.
@19sean65@NickLee51 Hockey. Basketball stops save for inbounds on made buckets. I would argue that every major sport that uses a clock has the clock determine end of game.
@Quador@yinzer_g@GWopski94248 Not triggered at all. Just wondering why you don’t think that 5-10% tax and 15-20% tip isn’t worthy of being called an add on. By any metric those are way more significant than bread and or water.
@ndneely@NickLee51 Good Lord you can walk and chew gum. Stop the clock and restart it once the ball is back in play. Sure there will be sometimes when the restart is a bit off but who cares. It will end the theatrics and time wasting because the incentives to did it disappear
@Quador@yinzer_g@GWopski94248 You’re talking about being charged for bread and napkins and now you pivot to Big Mac pricing. Obviously you were referring to sit down dining which is cheaper and better in Europe
