Juli 2026. Ein aktuelles Gutachten des Wissenschaftlichen Dienstes des Deutschen Bundestages (Sachstand WD 1 – 3000 – 013/26) stellt der Bundesregierung im Kampf gegen die ausländische Einflussnahme und den politischen Islam ein negatives Zeugnis aus. Der Bericht, der sich detailliert mit den Strukturen, der Finanzierung und den Sicherheitsrisiken von Moscheen in Deutschland befasst, bestätigt die jahrelangen Warnungen der AfD-Bundestagsfraktion vor einem Kontrollverlust der staatlichen Organe. 
Besonders alarmierend: Die Bundesregierung hat bis heute keinen verlässlichen Überblick darüber, wie viele Moscheen überhaupt auf deutschem Boden existieren. Mangels eines amtlichen Registers muss sich der Staat auf vage Schätzungen privater Institute stützen, die von 2.500 bis 2.800 Gemeinden ausgehen. Auch das finanzielle Dunkelfeld bleibt unkontrolliert. Der Wissenschaftliche Dienst hält unter Berufung auf offizielle Daten unmissverständlich fest, dass die ‚Datenlage zur ausländischen Finanzierung deutscher Moscheegemeinden nach wie vor unzureichend ist, da verlässliche Zahlen nicht vorlägen‘. Weder das Auswärtige Amt noch das neu eingeführte Zuwendungsempfängerregister beim Bundeszentralamt für Steuern sind in der Lage, millionenschwere Finanzströme aus autokratischen Drittstaaten wie Katar oder der Türkei wirksam zu kontrollieren oder zu stoppen. Dazu erklärt der innenpolitische Sprecher der AfD-Bundestagsfraktion, Gottfried Curio:
„Dieses Gutachten ist die amtliche Bestätigung fortgesetzter Erkenntnisdefizite im Bereich der inneren Sicherheit. Während deutsche Bürger und Vereine bis ins kleinste Detail steuerlich durchleuchtet werden, fehlt es bei der Finanzierung islamischer Strukturen an einer hinreichenden Überprüfungsdichte. Auch das viel gepriesene Abkommen des Bundesinnenministeriums mit Ankara zur Reduzierung türkischer Imame wird im Bericht als reine Beruhigungspille entlarvt. Trotz dieser Alibi-Vereinbarung wurden allein im Jahr 2024 über 1.000 staatliche türkische Imame nach Deutschland entsandt, die weiterhin in direkter besoldungs- und dienstrechtlicher Abhängigkeit vom Erdogan-Regime stehen. Die AfD-Bundestagsfraktion fordert, dass der Staat sich einen umfassenden Überblick darüberverschafft, wie und in welchem Umfang ausländische Mächte auf eine Radikalisierung der hiesigen Muslime hinwirken.“
Die kirchenpolitische Sprecherin der AfD-Bundestagsfraktion, Nicole Höchst, ergänzt mit Blick auf die gesellschaftspolitischen Folgen:
„Hinter den unkontrollierten Geldströmen verbirgt sich nichts Geringeres als das gezielte Programm einer auslandsfinanzierten Islamisierung Deutschlands. Autokraten aus der Türkei und den Golfstaaten kaufen sich über Spenden und den Bau von Prachtmoscheen systematisch Einfluss auf unserem Staatsgebiet. Sie importieren ein Werte- und Gesellschaftsbild, das zu unserer freiheitlich-demokratischen Grundordnung und unserer christlich-abendländischen Kultur teilweise im Widerspruch steht. Religionsfreiheit darf nicht als Schutzschild missbraucht werden, um den politischen Islam in unserem Land zu etablieren. Wir müssen die finanzielle Nabelschnur nach Ankara, Doha und Riad endgültig durchtrennen. Die AfD-Fraktion fordert daher, Finanzströme aus dem Ausland, welche die Indoktrinierung und Radikalisierung hiesiger Muslime befördern sollen, zu unterbinden. Nur so können wir unsere kulturelle Selbstbestimmung und die Souveränität unseres Landes verteidigen.“
