We're putting a pause on applications to the NI Trans Community Fund to enable us to get through the first round of grants.

We've paid out just under £5000 to date, and we've still got more payments to go!

We're aiming to reopen the Fund for a second round in early April.

@healthdpt It is within the ability of the Department to approve bridging prescriptions to those who will be affected as a result of this news.

We have been asking for interim care measures for those paying privately/self-medicating for years, to no avail. It's only getting more urgent.

Many trans folks in NI are concerned to hear the news of ClearChemist ending their relationship with GenderGP.

Due to the failures of our statutory services, GGP is one of the main providers of care to trans folks in NI - this news will have a detrimental impact on that care.

We were delighted to support @HeartoverBodyNI youth protesting against the trans healthcare crisis in NI.

We attended with @CaraFriendNI to maintain social distancing, distribute face masks & hand sanitizer, and ensure the safety of everyone there.

We, alongside our colleagues in the Women's Policy Group, have written to @BorisJohnson rejecting the anti-trans proposals by Liz Truss.

These changes are not feminist, are not supported by most feminists, and we're proud to stand together with the womens sector to oppose them.

All this whataboutery about gender recognition, bathrooms, & Britain's culture war is distracting from the fact that there are trans folks across these islands who are suffering, who can't access healthcare & basic human rights.
