@gcbioinv I would be interested as well. I got my hedge fund internship at the dropout club website, if they haven’t checked that yet. Though not sure if that is what they are looking for.
@szHvhQJ86O2UFSP@thejadedtrader Sure, I see you are heavily invested so I hope your bet pays off. Though the science doesn’t support their claims The whole Korean biotech market is a bubble right now.
@szHvhQJ86O2UFSP@thejadedtrader Why would they do their own trials with checkpoint inhibitors if sorafenib was so great? I suspect they knew it wouldn’t work so decided to pay the lump payment. See revised agreement in 2015. Also their CMO just left, why leave when verge of great data?
@szHvhQJ86O2UFSP@thejadedtrader Also sorafenib inhibits pexa-vec replication as it depends on TK expression. Which patient would delay sorafenib treatment which is already poor for 8 weeks to allow the virus to work for a chance for improved response to chemo?
@szHvhQJ86O2UFSP@thejadedtrader Just because you spent millions of dollars doesn’t fix the science. Even if it “worked” the competition is far superior. Who wants to inject virus intratumorally? HCC is a tough disease to treat. How is sillajen worth 5 billion?
@robertcoffin3 I wish I could short Sillajen but it’s not possible for retail investors. I was thinking a pair trade would be a way to take advantage of this discrepancy. They should have a data readout by mid year.
@psuvafan007 Zinc finger motifs are found in transcription factors so I imagine that they might work better then crispr. Crispr originally targeted phage dna that don’t have histones. Just off the top of my head.
@psuvafan007@jsherkow@csr1223 I realize that I might be getting confused. I think gene targeting might be the better term for nuclease directed homologous repair with a exogenous repair template like what sangamo did. But saying that 10 times in a row is a mess.
@jsherkow@psuvafan007@csr1223 I think if you replace an exon that had large deletions with a correct exon that would still be gene editing since you are still in the endogenous locus. Gene therapy means any alteration in the genome. Though aavs complicate this. Gene replacement perhaps?
@jsherkow@psuvafan007@csr1223 I consider gene editing as repairing the endogenous locus. Gene therapy would be supplying the correct gene but it doesn't have to be at any particular locus. I think the confusion is that site specific nucleases are called gene-editing tools as a general term.
