NME notes the âLittle Mix-maniaâ surrounding JADEâs set at Openâer Festival:
âFestivals used to be the exclusive playground of iconic rock bands and superstar DJs. But over the past few years, pop titans have proved that the slick, infectious genre can just as easily command a feral field as it can a plush arena â and the final day of this yearâs Openâer Festival was a full blown pop paradise takeover from the best and brightest megastars around. Jennie and Addison Rae dominated the Main Stage, PinkPantheress and JADE packed out the huge Tent Stage, while Peggy Gou and Horsegiirl delivered the perfect afterparty. Hereâs what went down during the last day of Openâer Festival 2026. [âŚ]
âJADE! JADE! JADE!â Little Mix-mania had clearly reached the Baltic Sea. Ten minutes before JADE raced onstage and burst into âIT girlâ, the Tent Stage was howling her name almost as loudly as they lost their proverbials to every single one of her Polish-language âthank youâs. With her solo career flying, JADE was overwhelmed by the loud Slavic love.
This early in her solo career â debut album âTHATâS SHOWBIZ BABY!â is less than a year old â thereâs still a sense of discovery to JADE the solo artist. Over the course of her hour-long set there was Rebel Jade, potty-mouthed and flicking the bird through defiant power-pop tunes âFUFN (Fuck You For Now)â and dedicating Little Mixâs pop bite-back tune âWasabiâ to all her haters: âI hope you feel seenâ.
There was Vulnerable Jade, revealing that the Supremes-sampling âBefore You Break My Heartâ and fuzzpop favourite âAngel Of My Dreamsâ were about the âtrials and tribulationsâ of being a woman fed through the music machine.
There was Sex-Crazed Jade, encouraging us to explore our âfreaky shitâ on the soft-centred disco of âFantasyâ. But at the core was Inclusive, Fan-Pleasing JADE. âIn homage to the Little Mix girlsâ, she treated the faithful to a five-minute blast through snippets of Little Mix songs including âTouchâ, âShout Out To My Exâ and girl-power banger âSaluteâ. She cast a stained glass LGBTQ+ flag onto her stage screen for a resonant âChurchâ, declaring âeverybodyâs welcome in the Church of JADEâ. Ten thousand or so evangelists canât be wrong.â
Nawet bardziej rozczulajÄ ca, niĹź same muzyczne doĹwiadczenia, byĹa wymiana energii miÄdzy niÄ a jej fanami.
âOpen'er Festival to byĹ jeden z najlepszych koncertĂłw w moim Ĺźyciu. Kocham was wszystkich. Wielkie dziÄki, Ĺźe przyszliĹcie dla mnie i daliĹcie mi absolutnie wszystko đđĽšđŤśđâźď¸đâ.
