@atulkochhar9@StormOfSteel19@manojchannan@ManiAyeSir What a callous statement 36 years after. From a has been inner coterie of 1987 who would be instrumental is sending the Indian Army into Sri Lanka. A cake walk is what you would have advised the PM. In line for a Nobel you would have added. Callous !
@supriyasahuias Hope you also got to see the extent of sewage in the backwaters. The eco system has been completely destroyed by rampant discharge of raw sewage. Mangroves need clean backwaters to survive and allow the marine eco system to grow.
Remembering Cyclic, call sign Maverick aka Unni Kartha on his 75 th birthday. We remember you as clear as day. Hope you're flying free in Valhalla Unni.
10: Have fun in Valhalla, Wg Cdr Unni Kartha Sir - everyone who knew you is confident you are making an impact there, as phrased here by your colleague Air Commodore Nitin Sathe:

@supriyasahuias We live here. Appreciate the mangrove plantation. But no one is trying to stop the rampant discharge of raw sewage from sewage tankers and residential colonies into the Muttukadu backwaters. What was 30 feet depth is now 3 feet due to the silt. Soon mangroves will have no water.
@atulkochhar9 The solemn soldiers covenant has been violated. Op Pawan was fought over 3 years on foreign soil and lost 1157 officers and men. Over 4 Divisions were committed valiantly in our true traditions. The objectives set were achieved. Why then does the Govt not honor our fallen men ?
A poem to honour those valiant soldiers who were Killed in Action on Emerald Shore from 1987 to 1990. We Op Pawan veterans pray that the Nation honours and commemorates their valour.

12 heroes of 2023, were rat miners who made history at Silkyara by underground tunnel digging and rescued 41 miners. Today they live in obscurity. Is fame shortlived ?
The COAS of the Sri Lankan Army lays a wreath on 26 January 2025, at the IPKF Memorial Colombo. Indian Envoy was also present. Why doesn't our country honour 1127 soldiers on Op Pawan ? Honour all our soldiers. Why have we singled out Op Pawan to oblivion ??
