My doctor friends and I came up with this and kicked off yesterday. The idea is to enhance the stay at home and allow critical cases to be seen in the hospital. Help repost. Someone might need this on your TL. #StayAtHome#StaySafeNigeria@NCDCgov@lindaikeji@nairaland

An amateur footballer in Nigeria reached out to Sevilla on X in hope of getting a football trial.
Sevilla responded, promising him an opportunity if their reply reached 100,000 retweets.
The tweet has now far surpassed that target 😮

I first experienced face to face kidnapping in my final year in 2012. We were returning from a surgery test along Benin expressway. I was in the school bus with my class while 4 other of my classmates were in a private taxi that was driving in front of the bus.
All 4 of them were kidnapped while the kidnappers kept shooting for over an hour. I saw them shoot a passenger from one of the commercial buses in the head that was trying to run. More than 20 vehicles were held on the highway and they asked us all to lie down on the tarred road on that hot afternoon.
The Police and Army were at both ends of the road, but couldn’t come close because the kidnappers were yelling that they would shoot us if they ventured near. From the ground we were shouting to the soldiers: don’t come o. I remember I couldn’t hear well because of the noise of the gunshots so close to me.
The gunshots were so loud I thought my ear drums would rupture. I almost begged the one shooting near me to move forward. That was how my ears were aching me. I said my last prayers that day because I really thought they would shoot us. It was when their leader shouted that they should not hurt any student that my mind came down.
It would seem like the shooting was to buy time so that some of them would get a head start walking the 4 kidnapped people far into the forest. The 4 of my classmates that were kidnapped were eventually released a day or so later after ransom was paid. Even though I was not kidnapped, I couldn’t sleep for 2 weeks!
So I can’t imagine what these 20 medics are going through right now. Please let’s lend a voice by retweeting and raising awareness until the right people in authority can do something about this 🙏🏾
