@timoni I haven’t seen this so, proprioception tracking. Any sort of machine that tracks those three levels, but doesn’t line up with the player’s perception of what they are doing is not adequate for immersion.
@FarrenStanley Ive been wearing one for 4+ years and love it. But it does increase notification reading, but you can tailor to your needs. I have used the health tracking of workouts to lose 20+ lbs since Aug. If you’re in apple ecosystem, it works very well. But they are $$$.
@timoni Very interesting. @scottmccloud triangle of representation fits along side, or the ability to “empathize” w/ larger scale devices (in a car, “they cut me off” where the car is an extension of self). Or games that give player extraordinary abilities (swing thru NYC as spider-man)
@peterme In my experience, it also shows non-designers that there are other deliverables (not just “pretty comps”) that can help everyone in the org speak the same language. Most notably in the executive level. Those deliverables can lead to major org change.
@andyjih my microwave has a timer, alexa has a timer, my watch has a timer, and my phone has a timer, and STILL sometimes I run out of timers while cooking.
@FarrenStanley @prettyrickyroo forever I thought it was “yippie ki yi yay” until Amy got it stuck in her head and sang “yippie ti yi yay” and I thought she was wrong. We fought about it. Why did I think it was “ki”?!
oh and Danny was the best, but always left out.
@EvanTahler Could you use a shell script to sense slowness and use control plane (https://t.co/mwdssguti9) to trigger the close/open of the dropbox update manager?
