@MistigrysIsolde@ClaireMax Oh, for sure. Like a Veteran football player or something. I see where that could come from.
Yea, with American Military a person is considered a veteran just for making it into basic training, pretty much.
@MistigrysIsolde@ClaireMax I thought it said he just did a single enlistment, which would generally be 4 years of active duty. But why do you think a person needs to serve 10 years to be considered a veteran? Anyone who does active duty is a veteran (according to US law)
@ClaireMax@mattdinniman He never claims to be a body builder or a power lifter. He just says he goes to the gym enough to keep on mass. He isn't incredibly strong until he starts leveling up. He didn't start at strength of 10 or anything crazy. What is it, 6 at the start? Avg person is 3 in a stat?
@ClaireMax I mean, the guy was basically left to fend for himself starting at 18. Traumatic childhood forced him to grow up quick. What about 27 doesn't track for you?

@Icy_Rapture@Hollowtide It's not even just gaming studios. It's literally every corporate job. The people doing the work have no idea what the executive team is planning. That's why layoffs are a surprise to everyone.
If I knew I was going to be laid off in 6 months, why would I work hard today?
@MathRockSucked It really just shows that a whole bunch of people have absolutely no idea how corporations work. They think a community manager has any idea what is being discussed behind closed doors by executive leadership?
People love showing how little they understand the world
@SchviftyFive After turning off a ceiling fan, while it's slowing down - nearly gives me a panic attack. No idea why.
Also, windmills spinning. Have to look away, instant panic.
