@shantplace I have much different theory. Jackal intentionally turn Peter into Man-Spider for while claiming him becoming main villain and after fight, he makes sure left impact on Spiderman: brainwashing Ned Leeds for becoming Hobgoblin which could led to becoming main villain at sequel.
