the oil pressure made the oil spill over it touched the silencer and caught fire.

Lesson learnt: have at least 3 extinguishers in the car.
Check for oil leakages and make sure all the caps are tightly closed.

My car caught on fire yesterday when driving. I quickly pulled over, panic set in but there was no time for that, opened the bonnet realized my engine was on fire. Tried the central lock 4 times to get the fire extinguisher from the boot, pulled the pin, to my surprise it didn’t

half a bucket of water…as I was heading back, people waived at me to not bother, apparently a Good Samaritan had stopped by used his fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire.

Post Analysis: I checked the gear oil level before driving out yesterday forgot to close the lid well
