Aya is one of the reasons I joined Ethereum. She had just stepped into her role during an extremely chaotic time for Ethereum. Folks called it the "Miyaguchi Restoration". I saw a role model & a welcoming community.
It's easy to forget the wins during market downturns but let's not forget all the incredible wins that the existing EF leadership has brought in over the years - like Ethereum not being a security!
Like others here have said, the EF is not Ethereum. We are all Ethereum. It's been really cool seeing fellow community members step up respectfully. We should all be united now more than ever.
1/ Create together, and benefit together. That's the Superchain.

The Superchain (@Optimism) isn't winning market share by the numbers, but they're handily winning the mindshare.
In the long run, mindshare -> market share.
On Friday, the Optimism Collective officially launched its first Security Council, marking a major milestone in its decentralization journey.

an iterative, experimental approach allows us to do good while learning how to do the most good possible!
appreciating the fast follow of RetroPGF news with reflections on some of the discussions that came up during this round.
During Round 3, badgeholders and community members debated the role of VC funding in the context of RetroPGF.
Perspectives across the issue, including the Foundation’s viewpoint, are compiled in this forum post:

Haven't done my "thank you @Optimism" post because I'm still digesting the results and haven't found the right words to express my gratitude to the collective. Kinda wild that you can just show up, do the thing you want to see done, and get rewarded for it. What a time to be alive.
Friends, we are humbled to announce that we're allocated 273,293 OP in RetroPGF 3.
All thanks to you:
- who eagerly supported us since we couldn't pass the quorum.
- badge holders who had a bet on us.
- believers of the Optimistic Vision & open internet.

I got a retroactive grant from @Optimism for my Dune dashboard work!
I'm immensely grateful for RetroPGF. It's completely changed the structure of my work life.
Knowing that I could potentially earn a retro grant for my opensource work has allowed me to allocate time to public good projects that I wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise.
Can't wait to see how RetroPGF continues to shape the future of the industry!
every single library for javascript developers that applied for @Optimism retropgf received funding
every. single. one.
to the tune of ~$10M (2.8M OP) total
these are projects w/o VC funding, tokens, SaaS fees, etc
web2 doesn't fund its dependencies - the new internet does.
my christmas wish is for us to stop indulging colonialist dreams of conquering native land under the guise of "network states" and understand that blockchains are already digital states that need to democratize economic opportunities through public goods to sustain their growth

Optimism is pioneering a path towards a collaborative Superchain ecosystem—one where all chains are on a level playing field.
This post shares how the Foundation views growth across the entire Superchain, ensuring a positive sum game for all:

OP Labs Engineer @protolambda joined @Brechtpd from @taikoxyz and @VitalikButerin earlier today to talk about the op-stack multi-proof vision and the importance of proof/client diversity.
This space is worth a replay! Link in the tweet below.
Test in Prod should be the poster child for RetroPGF.
They saw the potential of the OP Stack before pretty much any external team and are building incredibly useful new parts of the stack with it as core devs, including op-erigon.

Test in Prod is not passing the quorum for rPGF😢
As a core dev building OP Stack days & nights, it's a bit discouraging. Come on.
