Granted, Origins didn't have the life cycle that those fan mods have had. And some of the options the fan mods DO have, there's no way we'd see them in Origins.

But...unfortunately, there's a reason why I haven't played Origins in weeks. And it is not because of the bugs.

The animated cutscenes are cute and charming. The island menu is cool. The museum, has a few treats I didn't expect to see. But those 4 fan mods do the one big thing that I feel Sonic Origins sorely lacked and REALLY needed more of.

I do like Sonic Origins, despite the bugs it has.

But I do admit it. I can see why some people think Sonic 1 Forever, Sonic 2 Absolute, Sonic CD Restored, and Sonic 3 AIR are the "definitive" versions of those games, despite being fan-made.
