Hi there! Happy new month🥳🥳🥳
Been a minute yeah? I know😊
We'll be discussing "Infection as a complication of SCD" on Thursday, 10th April, 2025, with Dr. Adegbola Michael, on Genoaware WhatsApp group.
Kindly check flier for details, and help rebroadcast.
During my last crisis episode, I had a recurring pain in my right leg, along my thigh and knee area.
I was treated and got better, even got discharged, until the pain came harder and stronger, and I was rushed back to the hospital.
Treatment includes IV antibiotics, Surgical debridement, Implantation of local antibiotic delivery system, and Oral antibiotics.
Causes
Usually caused by a bacterial infection, such as Salmonella or S. aureus.
Hi everyone!
Welcome to September!
It's Sickle Cell Awareness Month!
It is an opportunity to ask questions about sickle cell, read up on it, and show more care to people living with sickle cell around you.
It's also a time to know your genotype, and that of your partner.
Some of the pictures from our hangout on Saturday. We express our sincere appreciation to all warriors, caregivers, and friends of warriors that attended the hangout.
It wouldn't have been a success if you didn't all come out to grace the occasion.
We have entered the "D-Day" 💃💃💃
Finally, our hangout is here....I hope to see you all today, let's come out in our numbers to network, connect, play games, have fun with other warriors and non-warriors alike.
