What a cool experience for you and the Culver’s crew. I’m old enough too! I graduated HS in 1986, watching Walter Payton dominate defenses and stacked rushing yards was an every game experience! So glad he was a Bear, got a championship! As a kid, a tried to run the ball like Walter with my friends in the playgrounds and backyard of Evanston. So glad to have his son for years doing GN Sports. And now the Score. We loved your sister Brittany checking out the Chicago food scene as WGN host too.

Thanks for sharing Kathy, it’s foundational to have a job(s) as a kids. I had a newsstand (plus other jobs) for Sunday papers only, every Sunday 6:30 AM to 1:30PM age 8-22. Saved enough money for almost two years of tuition at private college ( stayed at home and commute). Loved running my own business and taking care of my customers, many of whom taught me about the world with great conversations about life, religion, business, real estate, media, everything. Loved it. It was hard considering the commitment, the hours and the weather 52 weeks a year in a Chicago suburb. Also, Kathy’s one of my favorite SI models from teen age years. Glad to see that you are thriving and doing interesting things still.

I know you guys from Evanston way back and Loyola. I’m so excited for him and your family and the MSU football program! My youngest daughter LA class of ‘25 is now at MSU. So stoked about all this. Happy Birthday #51. I remember that Rose Bowl team, unreal for those of us born in Evanston-always told why the Wildcats couldn’t win. They just needed a better defensive leader!

I waited to reflect on Ryne Sandberg’s passing. As a player and a man there wasn’t many better. I called most of his games and what a player he became. After his career he showed what a classy person he was. His battles are over but his legacy lives on. I won’t forget him. RIP 23

This is cruel and stupid attack on her. Like her politics or not this is repugnant politics. Here is my testimony: I worked at the same law firm in Chicago before Michelle was married and she was a beautiful young woman who was a well paid attorney who was very serious and professional. And from everything thing I’ve seen on tv and the news since then she’s been a good mother. Anybody who continues with this nonsense is not a serious person.
