We’ve got a new TPS - Token-Per-Subscription. It’s the people stacking every max-tier plan they can get their hands on and burning a billion tokens a day like it’s nothing. Or let's call it the Whale Burn Index (WBI).

Old TPS was pointless busywork. New TPS is just how you know someone’s actually building and melting the servers with their efficient harness. Simple math: daily tokens (in billions) divided by the number of max subs.

Agentic AI was supposed to replace software engineers. Jev may do the opposite.

It doesn’t write the code. It makes the judgments around the code typed, cheap, and fast enough to live in a normal engineering loop: route, review, gate, escalate.

That was the real gate. Agentic coding asked for two things most engineers never had: a way to keep non-deterministic models honest, and the money to run expensive inference on every decision.

Jev collapses both. A few patterns. A few thresholds. Ordinary developers can run the loop without a frontier-lab budget.

Especially in traditional IT. The people who already knew how to ship under constraints suddenly get agentic leverage. They don’t get smaller. They get louder.

Balance of power, back to the nerds.

Jev is a great name, too. Make judgment this cheap and people won’t use less of it. They’ll use it everywhere. Jevons’ paradox, with a product attached.
