Raman Spectroscopy on these fascinating samples has begun! Juina-5-W1 holding some promising inclusions, possible exsolution can be seen around an inclusion with a Raman Map, 532nm laser used. Analysis on exact inclusion compositions soon to come... #MSci@UoBEarthScience
Pleased to have completed two University of British Columbia courses on sustainable mineral exploration, economics, and corporate finance. Thankful to hold a scholarship from Women in Mining USA for the duration.@WIM_UK@UoBEarthScience@BristolSEG https://t.co/ZIOmHyzF4R

@WIM_UK@EnPlus_Group Thank you for hosting the event. Great to have the chance to speak to The Betts Group, MD @charlieb hopefully we can continue our discussions on the catalyst effects of #Sustainability through the mining supply chain.
@jmroberge@VSACapital@AmonkMonkey Great to meet you Jay at the Battery Metals event. An attractive opportunity delivered by @E_Desaulniers of hydropowered Matawinie Graphite Mine @TSX_NOU. Not only helping fuel a green economy, but truly understanding the importance of #ESG to create successful mining projects.
@MattRoche23 Me too Matt! The trees look blurry on walks now 🥲Don’t worry tho after our last exam on the 29th we have a whole TWO days off from screens before term starts 1st Feb🤣
Boscastle, Cornwall is home to some of the most spectacular folding and quartz veins I’ve seen. Every hillside you look there’s a new array of mangled rocks from the Variscan Orogeny!
Lilly’s Cornwall Field Diaries- Walked from Padstow-Trevone-Harlyn Bay-Trevose Head. Blisters on my feet, a sign of a good adventure! Harlyn Bay sandstone composed of laminae and thin beds(<1cm thick), reveals wave-induced fluting, runnels, and cavitation
Lilly’s Cornwall Field Diaries- Cycled 28 miles along the Camel Estuary, Padstow-Wadebridge-Bodmin and back. Penqueen Quarry (mysef pictured), home to mountains of heavily cleaved and fissile slate.🚴♂️⛰
Lilly’s Cornwall Field Diaries- Followed the middle to early-upper Devonian coastline from Trevone to Hawkers Cove. Colour variations in the slates due to iron oxide compositions, which depends on the climate. Are the recumbent folds better in the outcrop or Louie’s tail?
Lilly’s Cornwall Field Diaries-Finally back out in the field! Here is some excellent structural geology exhibited at Boscastle. Mudstone group(slate) with ubiquitous quartz veins. Intense folding lends itself to the Variscan Orogeny.
