In a slightly new role, I was honored to interview Professor Dénes Lóczy, an Honorary Fellow of @IAGAIG International Association of Geomorphologists!
The video will be released soon on the IAG website.
Congratulations to the Harmonious team for organizing a successful Blended Intensive Course at @UninaIT! Special thanks to @Sal_Manfreda, @GeoLBertalan, @YijianZeng, @APhoto36826601, Dariia Strelnikova, @GernotPaulus, @SorinHerban, and Seifeddine Jomaa for their contributions.
Lecture: "Planning Hydrological Surveys with Drones: Systems and Tools". We are teaching students from several countries on the Advanced Technologies for Hydrological Monitoring at the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
We’re excited to kick off our Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Course on Advanced Technologies for Hydrological Monitoring! More than 30 students have joined us to explore the cutting-edge tools and methods for monitoring hydrological systems.
I suppose this isn't quite what my ecologist colleagues had in mind when they recommended investigating the role of invasive species in river channel morphodynamics within the riparian zone 🙂
Parrot Sequoia was the first affordable multispectral UAS sensor in our team. We combined these data and SfM-based DSM to classify aquatic plant species at an oxbow lake effectively. See our new paper for details:

Some cool planetary geomorph posters from @LisanneBraat and @RoelofsLonneke and a touch of UAV-based erosion monitoring from @GeoLBertalan to start my second day at #EGU24
Intensive day of fieldwork for detailed #UAS mapping of post-fire effects on hillslope erosion at #losguajares in collaboration with @geo_jrc.
Stay tuned for the first results! 🙂
Astonishing view from the campus of @CanalUGR Granada yesterday!
Today we're going to repeat #UAS surveys to detect post-fire effects on hillslope processes in Los Guajares in collaboration with @geo_jrc.
Really enjoyed my @EUErasmusPlus teaching mobility at @La_UPM in Madrid! I held my lectures on UAS applications for mapping water resources to students of geospatial engineering. Great to meet again with Director @josejuanarranz 🙂
