“The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist”; the 2nd “greatest trick was convincing the world he is the good guy”.
@goldtelegraph Standing by this: Russia did not "invade" Ukraine. Western media/political figures reinforce the "invasion" narrative as legal cover for USG/NATO's own breaches against sovereign states around the world. Reality in this war is much different than the story "experts" are telling.
@BrettErickson28 You make the Houthis sound as if they sit in the Pentagon wargaming strategy. With all due respect, and as I said before, we are done here.
@RT_com Hmm. He looks incredibly young. - almost like a teenager, which did not come through in the cardboard cutout or any other images we have previously been shown. I can assure you: this kid is not the “Supreme Leader” of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Being critical of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, I demand from him actions grounded in intelligence, diplomacy, and logic. Ukrainians are tired of the constant PR built on their blood and of the laundering of Western aid.
They are tired of a government that cannot provide them with even minimal guarantees and that continues to escalate and demand an unrealistic victory at the expense of entire generations. Ukrainians are tired of militarization, of the constant danger from Russian attacks and of Ukraine’s autocratic system; they are tired of corruption that only keeps growing, and of the absence of economic opportunities.
Ukrainians deserve respect and safety. They deserve leadership that can protect them and that puts people’s interests first. But Zelenskyy’s constant show has tragic consequences and no longer draws applause—only despair.
@Lassaad___@BrettErickson28 Just leaving this here. And I agree with one caveat - it’s a complete waste of time arguing with ppl who just make stuff up.
@CNN Article says other such botched efforts involve individuals with “notoriously weak veins”. Really? As a common characteristic? Easier than considering or admitting that the ppl administering the injections are failing due to incompetence.
@Lassaad___@BrettErickson28 And quite frankly, the fact that you (both) refuse to answer the original quesrion and are making up other things to argue about seems indicative: you have no evidence; you’re just saying stuff.
@BrettErickson28 Why would they not? It’s the source of the Saudi royal family’s authority. If they aim to thwart the KSA (they do), piercing Saudi security at Mecca and Medina is a critical goal.
@Lassaad___@BrettErickson28 No. Everyone does not know and I can assure you there are few ppl who follow these issues more closely than I do. “Everyone knows” is not evidence.
@BrettErickson28 No. But I don’t auto-divert to “it doesn’t comport with my narrative so it must be disinfo”. To be clear: I am asking you why you are making such an extraordinary claim and asking you to support it.
@BrettErickson28 So it MUST be Saudi disinfo? You states this definitively without presenting any evidence or historical pattern of the Saudis engaging in disinfo ops. Do you have anyway or are you simply saying 1+2 = whatever I say?
@JayCaruso@guypbenson@jodikantor A public servant should be harassed because you don’t agree with their work product??? Physical, psychological and emotional intimidation to corrupt the court in your favor? Juvenile.
@SullyCNBC@US_OGA Brian - I rarely if ever disagree with you but Russia does not “deserve” to have its refineries nor anything else targeted. NATO sowed discord for decades in bringing this war to Russia’s doorstep. NATO’s effort to erase all things Russia from human memory is well-documented.
This is interesting: I stumbled upon a 1974 declassified CIA report (available here: https://t.co/ye85oxd9tw) on "East Asian Contested Islands" and it's pretty fascinating to see how the narrative has evolved since back then.
So, for instance, the Scarborough Shoal, which is the central flash point between China and the Philippines, and the disputed territory around which the whole 2016 arbitration case originated, wasn't even claimed by the Philippines back then, only by China.
In the CIA's words: "The Philippines have not claimed the shoal despite its proximity to Luzon. China includes Scarborough Shoal within the sweeping claims it makes for the South China Sea."
In other words the place that has come in the media to define China's supposed encroachment on the Philippines' territory was, back in 1974, considered by the CIA to be solely a Chinese claim, full stop, with the Philippines nowhere in the picture.
In fact, the Philippines only started to publicly claim the Scarborough Shoal as part of their territory over two decades later in 1997 when their navy intercepted a China-sponsored amateur radio expedition on the shoal and later arrested 21 Chinese fishermen, the first ever confrontation between the two countries over it. Philippine congressmen Roque Ablan and Jose Yap planted a Filipino flag on one of its rocks that year (https://t.co/WC3ItlfazM).
As late as 1990, the Philippines' ambassador to Germany, Bienvenido A. Tan, Jr., wrote in a letter that “according to the Philippine National Mapping and Resource Information Authority, the Scarborough Reef or Huangyan Dao does not fall within the territorial sovereignty of the Philippines." (https://t.co/vuF7pWE3fU)
Which raises an obvious question: if a place was exclusively claimed by one country for decades, and the other country only started publicly claiming it in 1997, who is really encroaching upon whose territory? 🤔
