There's an inherent conflict of interest between Local Government Pension Scheme funds and sponsoring authorities.
Neil has some interesting thoughts on how they can deal with it.
It's extraordinary, but 3 weeks after names of new Labour ministers were all announced, not all their responsibilities have been worked out. For example, the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government still can't say which junior minister will cover what subject.
Labour should not be too prescriptive when trying to boost council pension fund investment in the UK.
If nothing else, it might still be in office to face the consequences if inappropriate investments made under pressure go bad. My @lgcplus briefing https://t.co/RfixaCBF88
